Alternatives to Renting Luxury Vacation Homes Make Traveling a Breeze

Planning a family vacation can be difficult. Finding the right condo or home to rent can be time consuming in itself, let alone getting all the groceries and supplies you need after you arrive. If your vacation is more work than relaxation, it’s time to look at alternatives.

“We tried renting but invariably the experience fell short of our expectations. Property standards were disappointing. Amenities were minimal. And, those first few hours at the property were always a chore (finding a nearby grocery store, discovering what was lacking or not functioning in the house). The last thing you need after hours of travel!” says Steve Greer, whose frustration helped inspire him to create The LUSSO Collection, a destination club that consists of members who join a country club type of organization to utilize a portfolio of properties that the club owns.

Comparing Options
Renting a home or a condo provides privacy, but photos and descriptions can only tell you so much until you actually arrive. Furthermore, if you need something or have any questions, there’s no one on location to assist you. Alternatively, if you rent multiple hotel rooms for your family, you get the benefit of having a concierge to help you with any travel needs, but then you might end up in uncomfortable accommodations without any privacy. What if you could eliminate the negative and have the best of both worlds?

The Hybrid
Destination clubs work well for people who enjoy the privacy, space and conveniences a home offers, but they want to be able to travel to a variety of locations and have the personal service offered by hotels. Members don’t have to worry about maintenance because the organization takes care of each property and all amenities are up to date. Certain destination clubs also provide vacation planning and on-site concierge services that you would normally only find at a luxury hotel.

LUSSO, for example, fully equips residences with all needed items including a Lincoln Navigator, golf clubs, a gourmet kitchen stocked with pre-arrival groceries and amenities for all travelers regardless of age. Members also have a complimentary driver transferring them to and from the airport. Additionally, members have access to a concierge 24/7 who can assist with any questions and help travelers get tickets to local entertainment, access to private golf courses, discounted skiing and much more.

“I work a busy schedule; however, simply because of the level of service provided by LUSSO I’m actually able to travel more than I ever did before,” says LUSSO Member Mark Griffis. “The houses are incredible and within 10 minutes of being at a property you feel like you are at home, but with oceanfront views, amazing golf courses, and ski lifts at your back door. The homes are furnished with everything you could possibly need in and out of the house, to include things like his and her golf clubs, bikes for the whole family, ski shoes, beach towels, car seats for the kids, etc. Their attention to detail is outstanding and every place that we have visited has been more impressive than we had imagined.”

With industry leading availability and a members-to-property ratio of 5.5-to-1, LUSSO is a choice that makes sense for a lot of people. Financially, the annual costs of a LUSSO membership is one-third that of any comparable alternative. Members pay a fully refundable deposit (currently $425,000) and annual dues for unlimited access to the club’s portfolio of residences and services. Another option is LUSSO 21, where members get 21 days of access a year after paying a fully refundable deposit of $325,000 and annual dues.

Properties are in locations such as Lake Tahoe, Calif.; Cabo San Lucas, Mexico; Aspen, Colo.; New York; Hawaii; The Bahamas and other choice destinations. For more information, visit www.lussocollection.com or call (866) GO LUSSO.
